PC版《怪物猎人:荒野》技术状态惨不忍睹

Capcom's latest release has been making waves on Steam, securing the 6th spot among the most-played titles. However, the game is facing heavy criticism from users on Valve's platform, primarily due to its substandard technical performance. Digital Foundry's comprehensive analysis of the PC version has confirmed these concerns, revealing a host of issues that have left players disappointed.

According to Digital Foundry, the game struggles with shader pre-compilation, taking approximately 9 minutes on a system equipped with a 9800X3D processor, and over 30 minutes on a Ryzen 3600. Even when set to "High" graphics settings, texture quality remains poor. On a PC with an RTX 4060, configured to "High" settings at 1440p resolution with balanced DLSS, the game experiences significant frame time spikes. Similarly, on a more robust RTX 4070 with 12 GB of memory, textures appear extremely substandard.

For those with GPUs boasting 8 GB of memory, Digital Foundry recommends lowering texture quality to "Medium" to reduce stuttering and frame time spikes. Yet, this adjustment does not fully resolve the visual quality issues. Rapid camera movements continue to cause noticeable spikes, though these are less severe with slower camera movements. Even with reduced texture quality, the frame time problems persist.

Alex Battaglia from Digital Foundry points to data streaming as the core issue, which places an excessive load on the GPU during decompression. This is particularly problematic for budget graphics cards, resulting in sharp frame time spikes. Battaglia advises against playing the game on 8 GB GPUs and expresses reservations about its performance on even more powerful systems like the RTX 4070.

The game's performance is particularly dire on Intel GPUs. For instance, the Arc 770 manages only 15–20 frames per second, along with missing textures and other visual artifacts. While some improvements can be made on high-performance systems, the game still fails to run smoothly. At present, finding optimized settings that do not compromise visual quality significantly is nearly impossible.
