WoW: Midnight Unveils Adaptable Housing

Authore: DanielUpdate:Apr 26,2025

Blizzard has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system in *World of Warcraft: Midnight*. Although the expansion won't launch until after *The War Within* as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews indicate that the level of customization available will exceed many players' expectations.

A recent developer blog showcased in-game videos demonstrating the furniture placement mechanics. The system uses a grid for item alignment with automatic snapping features, making it easy for players to arrange their spaces. Moreover, players can adorn larger objects like shelves or tables with smaller accessories that remain attached even when the larger item is moved.

The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for straightforward organization, and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects on all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, allowing for the creation of complex and visually appealing interiors.

Another notable feature is the ability to scale objects, catering to the different sizes of characters. This means gnomes can craft cozier living spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive layouts. Some furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will also support recoloring, though this feature may not extend to legacy assets.

With *Midnight* still months away, Blizzard continues to release teasers and updates, keeping the player community engaged and eagerly anticipating the future of the game.
