Observant Helldivers 2 players have noticed what appears to be a PlayStation leak hinting that the next conflict will see players defending Super Earth’s streets against the Illuminate.
This week, developer Arrowhead launched the full-scale Illuminate invasion, introducing new enemy types in the process. Lore descriptions indicated the Illuminate were advancing directly toward Super Earth, and a recent post from the official Czech Republic Threads account—since deleted—suggests they will not only reach humanity’s homeworld, but players will have to repel them there.
Redditor xTekshi discovered the removed post, which referenced a "Heart of Democracy" update scheduled for May 20. While the phrase "Heart of Democracy" appears in official communications about this week’s patch, neither Sony nor Arrowhead have confirmed a May 20 release date.
Adding credibility to the rumor is the fact that May 20 aligns with the expected conclusion of the ongoing Major Order.

The scenario feels almost feels inevitable—language used by Sony and Arrowhead in update notes reinforces this, stating “High Command believes this Fleet's ultimate objective to be the invasion of Super Earth itself” and “Battle on Super Earth is inevitable.”
As a result, many believe the Czech account unintentionally revealed Helldivers 2’s next major update, which would bring combat to Super Earth for the first time. If accurate, this would mark a major evolution for the explosive third-person shooter, which until now has featured only off-world planetary maps. Fighting on Super Earth would undoubtedly provide a fresh battlefield experience.
