Understanding Mudras:
Mudra, a Sanskrit term, signifies posture or pose. It literally translates to "joy producer," reflecting its ability to foster positive feelings. Originating in Hinduism and Buddhism, Mudras are used in various practices, including Bharatanatyam (200 Mudras), Mohiniattam (250 Mudras), and Tantric rituals (108 Mudras).
