Pedro Pascal, actor and star of series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has condemned Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling over her continued online remarks opposing the transgender community.
Pascal responded to a video posted on April 17 by writer and activist Tariq Raouf. In the video, Raouf criticizes Rowling for endorsing the UK Supreme Court’s recent ruling that legally defines “woman” as “a biological woman and biological sex” under equality legislation—a definition that excludes transgender women from protections under the Equality Act.
Following the ruling, Rowling shared a celebratory photo on Twitter/X of herself smoking a cigar and sipping a drink by the ocean, writing, “I love it when a plan comes together,” referencing her past financial support for For Scotland Women, the group that brought the case.

In his reply to the video, Pascal wrote: “Awful disgusting SH** is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”
This is not the first time Pascal has publicly stood up for the transgender community. He previously shared, “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist,” alongside a photo of a sign that reads, “A world without trans people has never existed and never will.” He also wore a T-shirt saying “Protect the dolls” to the London premiere of Thunderbolts—a phrase widely understood in LGBTQIA+ circles to refer to trans women.
Pascal’s sister, Lux Pascal, is a trans woman who publicly came out in 2021, and he has been an outspoken ally, initially responding to her announcement with, “Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,” meaning “My sister, my heart, our Lux.”
