In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, food poisoning can quickly become a fatal issue. This guide details how to cure it and prevent future occurrences.
Curing Food Poisoning
The only cure for food poisoning is a digestive potion. These can be purchased from most apothecaries, including those in Troskowitz, Trosky Castle, and the Nomads' Camp. They're relatively inexpensive.
Alternatively, learn the recipe and brew your own. This is a more cost-effective long-term solution. You'll need two thistles, two nettles, water, and one charcoal. The brewing process is as follows:
- Boil two thistles in water for two cycles.
- Grind the nettles and add them to the cauldron, boiling for one cycle.
- Grind the charcoal and add it to the mixture.
- Finally, pour the completed potion.
Note: Bozhena's hut offers a peaceful alchemy station; using others may anger shopkeepers.
Preventing Food Poisoning
To avoid food poisoning, only consume food with a white Freshness meter in your inventory. Red indicates a high risk of poisoning. Consider perks that slow food spoilage, or preserve food through cooking or drying.
