Artian weapons are a late-game addition to Monster Hunter Wilds, allowing for highly customizable weapon creation with diverse stats and elemental properties. This guide details everything you need to know.

First, complete the main story, reach High Rank, and defeat your first Tempered monster. Afterward, Gemma will initiate a tutorial explaining Artian weapon crafting. Each weapon type requires three components; at least one of each is needed for crafting.

Component Rarity, Elements, and Artian Bonuses:

Components have rarity, element, and Artian bonus attributes. Only components of the same rarity can be combined. The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the most prevalent element among the components. For example, two water and one lightning component result in a water weapon. Three different elements yield no elemental effect.

The Artian bonus provides either an attack boost or affinity boost (critical hit chance). Choose the bonus that best suits your playstyle.

Hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. These monsters are marked with a blue outline on the map. Defeating or capturing them yields Artian parts, found among post-mission rewards. Higher hunter ranks yield higher-rarity Artian parts. While there's no direct correlation between hunted monster and Artian drop type, focus on monsters you enjoy fighting or need parts from for other equipment.
