Following the releases of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, not all the experts at CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose to venture into new projects, including *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, a game recently unveiled by Rebel Wolves studio. This studio was founded by Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a veteran of CD Projekt RED.
Tomaszkiewicz shared his reasons for leaving CDPR and starting Rebel Wolves. He expressed a desire to explore new horizons with his friends, emphasizing their shared passion for role-playing games and their history. However, he believes that the traditional rules of RPGs can be expanded and innovated. He and his team at Rebel Wolves have come up with some groundbreaking ideas. Recognizing the challenge of convincing a large corporation to embrace and implement novel ideas, especially with new intellectual property, they decided to establish their own studio. This move, while risky due to their focus on innovative solutions, allows them to work closely with a small, communicative team. Tomaszkiewicz believes that smaller teams are more effective because they facilitate easier communication and vision-sharing among members. This environment fosters the "creative fire" needed to produce something truly unique.
