How to Complete All Arata Stages in GHOUL://RE

After numerous trials and errors, we've successfully unlocked all three Arata stages in GHOUL://RE. These stages aren't necessarily challenging in terms of skill, and there's minimal exploration involved, but they do require extensive Reputation grinding. We mean a lot of grinding!

Arata Stage 1 in GHOUL://RE

To begin, you must amass 25,000 Reputation points and reach the rank of Special Investigator within the C.C.G. organization. Head to the Commission of Counter Ghoul (C.C.G. center) and locate Damiro D. Mado, the NPC with headphones on the second floor. He'll task you with collecting 10 one-eyed fragments and 10 Kokuja fragments.

The most efficient way to gather these is by defeating bosses like Eto and Tatara and then crafting the fragments at a crafting table. To check your Reputation, speak with Saiyo Natsuki, the NPC in a black suit and tie. Once you have all 20 fragments, convert them into five one-eyed Kokuja fragments at the crafting station. Arata Stage 2 in GHOUL://RE

For Arata stages 2 and 3, you must play in permadeath (PD) mode to obtain the legendary armor. It's advisable to team up with reliable and strong allies, as solo missions can be frustrating.

Once you've earned 100,000 Reputation points, use the elevator in the C.C.G. building to reach the Laboratory. There, find Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, the man with a scalpel in a black suit by the door.

Hand over five one-eyed Kokuja fragments and prove your 100,000 Reputation to complete Stage 2 of acquiring Arata-Proto armor. There's been debate over the necessary reputation, with some players suggesting 75,000 or between 90,000 and 100,000. However, from our experience, 100,000 Reputation points ensures success.

Remember, you must play the second and third Arata Stages on PD servers. Otherwise, you'll face repeated responses from the Black Reaper and fail to progress to Arata Stage 3.

Arata Stage 3 in GHOUL://RE

The final Arata Stage involves Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, additional fragments, and a significant amount of cash. You must remain in PD mode to continue your quest for the epic armor.

Gather one one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen, then visit Black Reaper of Doom And Despair at the C.C.G. building. After paying him, he'll teleport you to face the Kishou Arima boss.

To defeat this boss, you'll need at least average gaming skills, involving a lot of jumping, dodging, blocking, and dealing damage from above. While Kishou Arima is challenging, with practice, even players with moderate skills can overcome him.

Be prepared for potential deaths during this encounter, and ensure you have ample resources. Each retry requires another payment, so bring an additional one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen per attempt.

Upon defeating Kishou Arima, you'll unlock Stage 3 Arata-Proto armor. However, keep in mind that while Arata armor provides impressive buffs and protection, it's also quite harmful to your character's body, as detailed below.

Arata armor is incredibly powerful, but it drains your hunger at an alarming rate when worn. You cannot eat while wearing Arata in any stage, so you'll need to remove the armor to replenish your hunger.

Despite these drawbacks, the benefits are substantial. Notably, you cannot be ragdolled while wearing Arata, a significant advantage in all game scenarios.

Arata also enhances your equipment, making your character highly resilient and capable of both sustaining and dealing massive damage. If the armor depletes your hunger during combat, it will start consuming your health bar. Be cautious during boss fights, and consider removing the armor if it becomes too hazardous to continue wearing it.

Reputation Grinding

The quickest way to accumulate the required Reputation is by fighting bosses in PD mode. While risky, each boss defeated in PD grants 1,500 Reputation, far superior to the 500 earned outside PD mode. Unfortunately, killing Ghouls yields only 100 Reputation per kill, making them less effective for grinding during Arata quests.
