Valve has returned from their New Year holiday break, and game developers are rolling out new patches for various titles. Fans of Deadlock were anticipating a substantial update after the game shifted from its bi-weekly patch cycle. However, Valve opted for a more relaxed approach to kick off the year, delivering a surprisingly small patch.
The patch focused solely on one hero: Yamato, who received a slight nerf. This includes a reduction in damage scaling and a lower attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Furthermore, abilities like Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot were weakened, while Alchemical Fire underwent a minor rework.

Given this modest update, it's highly probable that fans will have to wait a bit longer for a more comprehensive patch. At this stage, predicting the timing of the next major update is nearly impossible.
It's important to mention that Deadlock has recently experienced a notable decline in its player base. This could be attributed to the current popularity of Marvel Rivals, which has captured the attention of many gamers. Nonetheless, for a title still deeply in beta, maintaining an online player count of between 7,000 and 19,000 is a respectable achievement. It's also worth reminding fans that Valve has not yet disclosed any potential release dates or specifics regarding the game's monetization model.
