Genshin Impact's Version 5.4: A Closer Look at Yumemizuki Mizuki and a Leaner Update
Version 5.4 of Genshin Impact introduces Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo Catalyst character hailing from Inazuma. Mizuki's kit resembles Sucrose, but with added healing capabilities, making her a valuable addition to many team compositions, particularly Taser teams. Her role as a premium Sucrose variant offers a compelling alternative for players.
Mizuki's arrival, heavily rumored since late 2024, has been officially confirmed. Initially speculated to be Inazuma's first Standard Banner character, beta testing confirmed this, along with details about her abilities and background. Interestingly, while previously known as a tapir yokai, drip marketing revealed her profession as a psychologist and majority owner of the Aisa Bathhouse. Her close friendship with Yae Miko strongly suggests a prominent role in Version 5.4's Inazuma-based Flagship Event, centered around yokai. A dedicated Story Quest for Mizuki is also planned.
Yumemizuki Mizuki Details:
- Title: Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
- Rarity: 5-Star
- Vision: Anemo
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Constellation: Tapirus Somniator
Version 5.4's Event Banners will feature Mizuki and Wriothesley in the first half, followed by Furina and Sigewinne in the second. It's crucial to note that Mizuki will join the Standard Banner after Version 5.4, prompting collection-focused players to prioritize obtaining her Signature Weapon.
In contrast to the content-rich Version 5.3, Version 5.4 presents a more streamlined update. It includes only one new character, a single Story Quest, no new Artifact Domain, and no map expansion. Consequently, the Primogem acquisition will be lower than usual. Players aiming for characters like Furina or Wriothesley from Fontaine should strategically save their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, unless Version 5.3's Chronicled Banner offers an exceptionally appealing character.
