Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and arming yourself. A Rifle is a solid choice here; it's only $75 and packs enough punch to fend off most enemies, at least temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to fuel your boat's old-school engine.

The next town is 10,000m away. Simply start your boat and you're on your way. While you can stop to kill and loot Zombies and Drowned, it's not always worth it due to the limited valuables in the side houses. To restart the ship, just add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side for now. Wait until the second safe zone to sell your loot, but watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs along the riverbanks.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. Clear them out if you're with friends, but solo players might find it a waste of time due to scattered spawn points. Around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned and valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips and Tricks
The core gameplay loop is simple: kill, loot, repeat, and hope for enemy defeat. To excel, use your boat as your primary inventory, emptying your bag upon return to save time and space.

A key strategy I found effective is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While it's tempting to rush out of these towns, efficient loot stacking pays off. Running low on fuel? Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator and you're set.

Another tip: be cautious in Sheriff's offices. They often have a high concentration of mobs but also offer substantial rewards in weapons and ammo. I kept my shotgun stocked by having a friend clear the ground floor while we explored each town.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it a prime spot for ambushes. I recommend tackling this with at least three others, ideally a full five-person team. Be efficient when collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m. They're tough, hit hard, and require a lot of ammo to take down safely. Don't linger; plan your stops carefully. Remember, loot isn't everything.
The town after 50,000m is a prime farming spot. With at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies, it's perfect for those with Shotguns or Sawnoffs. It's also an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare bodies for loading quickly.

In the final safe zone, sell all your loot and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't go easy on Zombies and Drowned; you'll need a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this final stretch. At around 100,000m, you'll reach open waters and be ready to face the beast. The sign of its approach is the skies darkening.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must pick a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not repelled. With five players, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which deals AoE damage and is telegraphed by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, be cautious of the Roar AoE, which causes minor, unblockable damage and may slightly buff the boss's damage. You'll see it as white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.

As you can see, defeating the Kraken is challenging but manageable with the right strategy. That's the essence of my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To speed up your progress even further, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes. Good luck, and may your sails be ever smooth!
