Journalist stashes in Stalker 2 are scattered across the game's map, with some areas containing multiple stashes. One such stash, located within the car maze in the Garbage region, holds a valuable suit of armor. This guide details how to easily access this hard-to-reach location.
How to Locate the Garbage Journalist Cache in the Maze
To find this stash, travel northwest from the Slag Heap towards the car maze. While the maze has multiple apparent entrances, use the main entrance shown on the map above for the easiest access.
Once inside the maze, proceed to the right until you encounter a burned-out bus on its side. Look to your left; you'll see another bus with a blue exterior. Climb onto this bus; the Journalist stash is located on top. Descend on the opposite side and open the stash to obtain the Tourist Suit Body Armor.
Is the Tourist Suit Armor Worthwhile?
The Tourist Suit is a highly effective piece of armor for the early to mid-game in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It provides substantial protection against thermal, electrical, and chemical hazards. Its key strengths are its excellent radiation and physical damage resistance, crucial for surviving high-radiation environments and various attacks.
Beyond its defensive capabilities, the Tourist Suit also boosts stamina regeneration by 5%. Given the extensive travel on foot in Stalker 2, improved stamina and regeneration are invaluable for extended exploration.
While the Tourist Suit is strong on its own, further enhancements are possible. While Lens at Zalissya cannot upgrade it, Diode at the Slag Heap possesses the necessary expertise. He can equip the suit with high-quality modifications to significantly improve its protective attributes.
