Omori Cancels Switch and PS4 Physical Release in EuropeMeridiem Games, Omori's European publisher, has announced the cancellation of the game's physical release for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Europe. The publisher cited technical difficulties related to multilingual European localization as the reason for this decision.

Delays Leading to Cancellation

The physical release faced multiple delays. Initially slated for March 2023, it was postponed to December 2023, then March 2024, and finally January 2025. These repeated setbacks ultimately resulted in the cancellation, leaving pre-ordering customers disappointed. While the publisher hasn't provided specifics about the localization challenges, the numerous delays suggest significant hurdles were encountered.

This cancellation is particularly disheartening for European fans as it prevents the official release of the game in Spanish and other European languages. While a US import remains an option, the lack of an official European physical release is a setback for accessibility and localization efforts.

Initially released on PC in December 2020, it expanded to Switch, PS4, and Xbox in 2022.
