New Pokémon Water Park? Not Quite at the Hiroshima Plaza

Pokemon Center Hiroshima Relocation and Gyarados Plaza Opening

Pokemon Center Hiroshima is temporarily closing its doors at the end of March 2025 and will reopen at a new location in April 2025. A new Gyarados-themed playground, the Gyarados Plaza, will open in March at a different location.

New Location for Pokemon Center Hiroshima

Pokémon Center Hiroshima's Gyarados Plaza is Oddly Not a Water ParkThe store's new address will be the second floor of Ekie, the north exit of Hiroshima Station. Currently situated on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, the move marks a significant change since its opening in June 2015.

Gyarados Plaza Launch

The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokemon Center Hiroshima" will debut on March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, located within the new Hiroshima Station building, Minamoa. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment. Initially, reservations will be required to access the playground equipment. Details regarding reservations will be released on the official Minamoa website.

Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event

To celebrate "Poke-lun TV" surpassing 1 million subscribers, a nationwide event is taking place at Pokemon Centers across Japan, including Hiroshima, before its closure. Fans can receive an exclusive sticker by presenting a password obtained from a specific Poke-lun TV YouTube video (posted December 19, 2024).

Select Pokemon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will also feature photo opportunities with the Poke-lun TV hosts. This event runs from January 17, 2025, to February 16, 2025. The event excludes Pokemon Stores, Pokemon Center Online, Pokemon Cafe, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe.
