Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held in three global cities across different dates in June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
Further event details will be revealed in March. Remember, event specifics are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, unique gameplay, and exciting bonuses. In-person attendees can experience city-wide events with unique features, requiring ticket purchase for both in-person and online participation.
Expect rare Pokémon encounters impossible to find through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, location-specific habitats, exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for in-person participants. While specifics are still under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years.
Two More January Events!
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over:
This event runs from January 15th, 12:00 pm to January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). Trainers can rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai will debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon, such as Snivy and Tepig, will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots!
Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh):
On January 19th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raid Battles. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased encounter rates, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
