Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: Free New Game+ Mode Announced

The gaming world is back in full swing after the holiday break, and we have some exciting news! While we're all still waiting for Nintendo Switch 2 news, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled a gameplay showcase for their highly anticipated title, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The presentation offered a glimpse into the game's features.

The video showcased extensive ship customization, expansive open-sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. A key highlight is Goro Majima's dual combat styles: a swift, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises hidden islands and original side quests to discover during gameplay.

A major announcement came at the presentation's conclusion: the "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a significant departure from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism of SEGA. This positive change means players can expect this feature approximately six weeks after the game's official launch.
