Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, this initial test will be exclusive to mainland China. However, eager fans worldwide can still follow the game's progress as it approaches release.
Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details, which shouldn't surprise those familiar with the game's trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below). The new information expands on the game's comedic tone and the intriguing blend of the bizarre and ordinary within the world of Hetherau.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is venturing into a competitive 3D RPG market increasingly focused on urban settings. Neverness to Everness, however, aims to differentiate itself with unique features.
One standout feature is open-world driving. Players can enjoy high-speed city chases, customizing and purchasing a variety of vehicles. Be warned, though – crashes have realistic consequences!
Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face significant competition from established titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy a similar genre space.
