Capcom recently hosted an exhilarating Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, unveiling a plethora of exciting updates and additions to the latest installment in the Monster Hunter series. The spotlight was on Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, as a complimentary update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside this major update, a range of both free and paid DLCs will be introduced, enriching the game experience even further. Players can look forward to a new hub that enhances social interactions, fresh armor and cosmetic options to elevate the fashion aspect of the game, and the introduction of more formidable monsters to challenge.

We now have concrete dates, detailed insights, and much more regarding the forthcoming update for Monster Hunter Wilds. Which aspect of the update excites you the most? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!

PlayA New Hub For Hunters ---------------------

The showcase kicked off with a detailed look at the new endgame hub for hunting parties, known as the Grand Hub. This expansive area offers numerous engaging activities, such as feasting together, arm wrestling, and enjoying nighttime performances by the Diva. Players can also dive into the Barrel Bowling mini-game, earning vouchers and rewards through various in-game activities.

The Grand Hub becomes accessible once players reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Mizutsune, a dynamic monster known for its swift tail strikes and water jet attacks. Players at Hunter Rank 21 or above can encounter Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by speaking to Kanya, who will provide the necessary quest. Successful hunts will reward players with materials to craft new gear.

Additional Hunts on the Way

A challenging new Event Quest featuring Arch-tempered Rey Dau is set to test the skills of players who have reached Hunter Rank 50 or above. Triumphing over this formidable foe will grant access to new armor. Additionally, Zoh Shia, previously a one-time story encounter, will be available for repeated battles through new quests, also unlocking new armor upon completion.

Arena Quests

Speedrun enthusiasts will have a new arena to conquer with the introduction of Arena Quests. These quests offer both Challenge and Free Challenge options, with participants earning pendants for their efforts. Access to these quests is available at the counter within the Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, the dedicated handler, will now have customizable cosmetic options. Players can alter her attire via a new appearance menu at camp, with one free outfit available upon completing a specific side mission. Additionally, Alma's glasses can be changed to reflect her new look.

More DLC is on the way

In conjunction with Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLCs will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be freely available, while additional cosmetic items, such as those in the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, can be purchased or accessed through the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition. New stickers and further customization options for Alma are also on the horizon.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

A series of new Event Quests and Seasonal Events are slated to enhance the game further. During these events, the Grand Hub will transform, offering unique meals and limited-time equipment, gestures, and decorations. The first event, Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, begins on April 23, featuring stunning pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has assured that most previous events and quests will return in the future.

The Roadmap Ahead

The rollout of Title Update 1 and its associated content will span several months. U.S. players will see the update on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, with further features and a Capcom collaboration set for the end of May.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a sneak peek at Title Update 2, expected this summer. Though a specific date remains undisclosed, the teaser hinted at the return of the iconic Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, now set to wreak havoc on the surface.
