Authore: ZacharyUpdate:Feb 21,2025

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a PlayStation Network outage. The outage, lasting approximately 24 hours, began Friday, February 7th at 3 PM PT, preventing online gameplay. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

The second Monster Hunter Wilds beta, scheduled for February 6th-9th, was significantly impacted. In response, Capcom announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session. This revised schedule runs from Thursday, February 13th at 7 PM PT (February 14th, 3 AM GMT) to Monday, February 17th at 6:59 PM PT (February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT).

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended beta period. Despite the previous outage, beta testers engaged with the game's new challenge: Arkveld, a formidable new monster.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For further details, including IGN First coverage and a final preview, consult our resources. Additional guides cover multiplayer gameplay, weapon types, and confirmed monsters.
