Kingdom Come: Choices Await, Mice & Frogs

Authore: BellaUpdate:Feb 12,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, early side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov offer a choice between aiding Prochek or Olbram. This guide explores both options, the Mice and Frogs quests, and whether completing both is possible.

Completing Both Quests:

While Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in a feud, cleverly navigating the quests for both Prochek and Olbram is achievable. This approach unlocks more backstory and reveals the game's intricacies. However, a completely favorable outcome for both sides isn't possible.

Choosing Prochek or Olbram:

Ultimately, choosing between Prochek and Olbram is largely a matter of preference. Both aim to sabotage the other; the decision hinges on personal enjoyment of the tasks.

Olbram's quest involves a nighttime maypole theft, requiring stealth and potentially charm to distract the guard. Prochek's quest demands painting Olbram's bull blue, necessitating acquiring dye from the tailor and a lullaby potion recipe (either through apprenticeship with Radovan or charm).

Prochek's quest presents a slightly higher difficulty, particularly early in the game. Resource limitations (groschen) and lower Speech skill might make Olbram's quest a more accessible starting point.

Prochek's "Mice" Quest:

Initiate the "Mice" quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov (or the innkeeper if he's unavailable).

  • Dye and Lullaby Potion: Purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor in Troskowitz. Obtain the lullaby potion recipe from Radovan (either through work or charm). The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle (found near the Troskowitz apothecary). Brew the potion, then in Zhelejov, administer it to the bull, paint it, and report back to Prochek.

Olbram's "Frogs" Quest:

Find Olbram near the Zhelejov meadow. Agree to steal the Tachov maypole to begin the "Frogs" quest.

  • Stealing the Maypole: Proceed to Tachov at night. Interact with the guard, Henrik. High Speech allows charm; otherwise, incapacitate him. Arrange a date between Henrik and Manka (at the inn), allowing you to steal the maypole. Return to Olbram. He'll then request chasing sheep from a Tachov pasture and delivering a digestive potion to Alshik.

Conclusion:

You can choose to complete either questline fully, or inform Prochek of Olbram's further plans, ending both quests. The choice is yours. Consult other resources for additional Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 tips and strategies.
