Kingdom Come 2: Development Halted Amid Legal Challenges

Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.

The developers faced a barrage of online attacks, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and condemn the studio's work.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.

Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days," following the game's December gold master status. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.

Interestingly, initial "final previews," based on portions of the review build, are anticipated a week after the review codes are released.
