In a recent video on his YouTube channel dated May 8, Kamiya responded to fan inquiries about remakes and sequels. When posed with the question of how he would approach a DMC remake, he confidently stated, "A remake like that, well, I would like to do that."
First Released 2001
Originally launched in 2001, Devil May Cry emerged from what was initially intended to be Resident Evil 4. However, significant shifts in its development led Capcom to birth DMC as a distinct entity.
Reflecting on the game's origins nearly 25 years later, Kamiya shared a personal anecdote that fueled the game's creation. In 2000, after experiencing a painful breakup, he channeled his emotions into the development of DMC, turning his heartache into a groundbreaking action-adventure game.
