Growbot: Robot saves home, alien friends in adventure

Authore: JacobUpdate:Apr 28,2026

  • Take on the role of Nana the growbot and rescue your home world
  • Beautiful hand-drawn art and an endearing cast of characters
  • Launching on mobile devices August 7th

Following the launch of Mutropolis today, mobile gamers have another captivating point-and-click adventure to enjoy—and it's from the same developer. Growbot is a delightful hand-drawn adventure game that's coming to iOS and Android on August 7th. Soon, you'll be able to guide your adorable little robot as she defends her home from malevolent crystalline invaders.

Playing as the growbot Nana, you'll embark on a 2D journey across a space station overflowing with exotic alien flora. You'll meet a host of quirky characters along the way, and it will be your task to fix what's been damaged, restore the station, and preserve peace.

Judging by the trailer, Nana isn't the most chatty growbot. If the game relies on expressive, wordless interactions, it could deliver a powerfully atmospheric experience. Given how much I adored The Longing, Growbot looks poised to leave a similar impression—especially with Nana's wide-eyed, curious expression, which reminds me of the Shade.

Award-winning illustrator Lisa Evans contributes her artistic vision, while musician Jessica Fichot creates the soundtrack. The game also offers multi-language text support, including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian.

If you're excited to dive in, you can already wishlist or follow Growbot on Google Play and the App Store. It will be a premium title priced at $3.99 (or the equivalent in your local currency).
