Hunters Beware: Monster Hunter Wilds Unveils Open Beta in February

Get ready for another chance to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is launching a second Open Beta, offering both newcomers and returning players a taste of the action before the full game's release on February 28th, 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Features New Monsters and Content

This extended beta test includes exciting new features not available in the first round. Prepare to face the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster from the series!

Beta Test Dates:

Phase 1: February 6th - 9th
Phase 2: February 13th - 16th

Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Returning Beta Players:

Character data from the first beta will carry over, and can be transferred to the full game. Note that game progress will not be saved. However, participants will receive exclusive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.

Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Features New Monsters and Content

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team wanted to give those who missed the first opportunity to play, and provide another chance for feedback. While recent community updates highlighted planned improvements, these will not be included in the second beta.
