PlayStation Productions Unveils Ambitious Slate of Game Adaptations at CES 2025
PlayStation Productions made a splash at CES 2025, announcing a significant expansion of its video game adaptation pipeline. The January 7th presentation showcased several projects, spanning various genres and formats, set for release in 2025 and beyond.
New Adaptations Announced:
- Ghost of Tsushima: Legends (Anime Series): A Crunchyroll and Aniplex collaboration, this anime series, directed by Takanobu Mizumo and with story composition by Gen Urobuchi, will premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll in 2027. Sony Music is on board for music and soundtrack.

PlayStation Productions, established in 2019, has already achieved notable success with adaptations like Uncharted (2022) and Gran Turismo (2023), both box office hits. The Twisted Metal series (Peacock, 2023) completed its second season in late 2024, though a release date is pending.
Other projects in development, though not highlighted at CES 2025, include films based on Days Gone and a sequel to the Uncharted movie, along with a God of War TV series.
