Square Enix Announces Foamstars Free-to-Play Launch on October 4th
No More PS+ Subscription Needed
In a recent support page update, Square Enix revealed that Foamstars, their premium 4v4 shooter, will become completely free-to-play starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC. This also removes the requirement for a PlayStation Plus subscription to play. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, the game will be available for free download.
A "Legacy Gift" awaits players who purchased Foamstars before the switch. This exclusive bundle includes:
- 12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
- 1 special Slide Board design
- The "Legacy" title
