Fabled Game Studio Is Making Pirates Outlaws 2, The Sequel To Their Hit Roguelike Deckbuilder

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular roguelike deck-builder, is setting sail! Developed by Fabled Game Studio, this enhanced version promises a thrilling seafaring adventure with exciting new features. Expected to launch in 2025 on Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games Store, the game is currently undergoing an open beta test on Steam from October 25th to 31st. Mobile players will need to wait a little longer for their chance to play.

What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?

This sequel introduces a fresh hero with a backstory set years after the original. Players will begin with pre-built decks and unique ability cards. New additions include companions, each contributing their own special cards, and a novel card fusion mechanic allowing players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful one.

Deck progression is enhanced through an evolution tree, providing strategic choices for upgrading cards. Even previously discarded cards can now be upgraded. The acquisition of relics is also altered; instead of appearing after every battle, they are now found in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.

Combat features a new Countdown system, impacting enemy actions. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "ReDraw" mechanic. A revamped armor and shield system adds another layer of strategic depth.
