This guide details how to get the Lady Vengeance sailing in Divinity: Original Sin 2 after escaping Fort Joy. The process involves a series of puzzles and interactions.
Quick Links
After removing your Source collar, your goal is to get the Elven ship moving. This isn't done through conventional means; you'll need to uncover the ship's unique control mechanism. Explore, talk to NPCs, and gather clues. The key is accessing Magister Dallis' cabin and the Ancient Songbook within.
Investigate Dead Bodies
Search the bodies of the deceased magisters and ghouls on deck. A Sodden Diary reveals a password for a stateroom door. You can also obtain the password via a skill check with the northern stateroom door. Additionally, locate a Strange Gem – necessary to interact with the Portside Stateroom door. A magic mirror nearby allows respeccing characters.
Find the Portside Stateroom
Using the password from the diary (or skill check), access the ship's quarters. Interact with the unconscious Bishop Alexander to find a Strange Gem in his regalia. Use the gem and the password on the southern stateroom door to enter Magister Dallis' cabin. This cabin also contains a hidden hatch with ghouls and a Teleportation Prism.
Find the Songbook
Inside, speak to Tarquin and Dallis thoroughly. The Ancient Empire Songbook rests on a pedestal. Reading it reveals the cryptic song. It's advisable to speak to all NPCs before proceeding, as interaction will be limited once the ship sails.
Set Sail
Return to the deck and inform Malady about the songbook. She'll ask you to sing. Find the dragon figurine to the west and sing the song. The Lady Vengeance will begin to move, but be prepared for an immediate ambush by powerful magisters. Ensure your party is adequately prepared for a challenging battle.
