Cursed Objects (or "Cursed Possessions") are randomly generated items in Phasmophobia, appearing on various maps depending on game mode and settings. Activation requires locating and interacting with them within the location.

Unlike standard in-van equipment, Cursed Objects offer "cheats" with significant drawbacks. Locating the ghost's favorite room or gaining party buffs often comes at the cost of substantial sanity loss, temporary blindness, or unexpected "cursed" hunts. Use them strategically; sometimes, leaving them untouched is the wiser choice. Note that Cursed Objects won't spawn at all difficulty levels or in Challenge Mode.

Phasmophobia currently features seven Cursed Objects, each with unique abilities and debilitating effects. A common consequence is a significant sanity drop for the user. Proximity to the user increases the likelihood of a "cursed hunt," which, unlike regular hunts, ignores sanity levels and lasts 20 seconds longer.

Summoning Circle	Summons and traps the ghost. Always triggers a cursed hunt unless a Tier 3 Crucifix is present.
Voodoo Doll	Forces ghost interactions via pins. Pushing the heart pin triggers a cursed hunt.
