Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Streamlines Camo Progression with New Tracking Feature

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 launched today, introducing a game-changing feature: Camo Challenge Tracking. This handy tool simplifies the often-grueling camo unlock process. This guide explains how it works.

Simplified Camo Progress Tracking in Black Ops 6

The patch notes describe Camo Challenge Tracking as a system allowing players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges simultaneously. A key benefit is the "Near Completion" notification, alerting players to nearly finished challenges even if they aren't actively tracked.

This feature eliminates the need to constantly check the main menu for progress. Players can now monitor their advancement in real-time during matches.

How to Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges

To track a challenge, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge. Press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracker. Progress updates are then visible during gameplay.

The system also automatically highlights challenges nearing completion, even those not actively tracked, displaying them in the Daily Challenges section of the lobby.

Earning Mastery Camos Made Easier

The Season 2 update also simplifies mastery camo acquisition. Previously, unlocking a special camo required nine preceding military camos. This has been reduced to five, although two special camos are still needed for mastery camos.

This change directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch's responsiveness to player concerns is evident in this improvement to the overall gameplay experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
