Just one month following its launch, which includes its availability on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have unveiled an exciting new trailer for Avowed. The video features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the enthusiastic reception of this action-RPG.
The latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advanced technologies significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. Furthermore, the developers have hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the game’s future support and roadmap in the coming weeks.
This update isn't solely focused on technical enhancements; it also elevates the player experience. Players will now receive an additional talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced will automatically receive their points upon loading the game. Keyboard and mouse users can now easily toggle between walking and running, and a new accessibility feature allows for increased font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text.
While Avowed didn't completely silence critics, it has still earned robust reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a notable achievement from Obsidian.
