SwitchArcade Round-Up: Reviews Featuring ‘Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku’, Plus New Releases, Sales, and Good-Byes

Authore: MiaUpdate:Jan 25,2025

Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up. After several years, I'm moving on to new opportunities. But before I go, let's recap this week's highlights!

Reviews & Mini-Views

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)

Imagineer's Fitness Boxing series continues with a Hatsune Miku collaboration. This Joy-Con-only title offers daily workouts, rhythm-based boxing exercises, mini-games, and customizable options, including unlockable cosmetics. While the music is excellent, the main instructor's voice is a bit jarring. It's a solid fitness game, best used as a supplement to other routines rather than a standalone program.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

Magical Delicacy ($24.99)

Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. The exploration is well-executed, but inventory management and UI could use improvement. The pixel art and music are stunning, and the game features adjustable UI scaling and text options. While enjoyable, some quality-of-life updates would elevate it further.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)

A polished sequel to the original, Aero The Acro-Bat 2 delivers a solid 16-bit platforming experience. Ratalaika's improved emulation wrapper includes bonus features like achievements, a gallery, and a jukebox. While only the SNES version is included, it's a strong release for fans of the genre.

SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5

Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)

This prequel to Metro Quester features a new setting (Osaka) and mechanics. It's a turn-based dungeon crawler that rewards careful planning and strategic party building. While more of an expansion than a full sequel, it offers plenty of new content for fans of the original.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
