Sybo Games has quietly released a new mobile title, Subway Surfers City, on iOS and Android. This soft launch, currently available in select regions, offers a sequel to the popular Subway Surfers franchise.
The game boasts improved graphics and incorporates many features added to the original over its long lifespan. Expect to see familiar characters alongside new additions like hoverboards.
A Bold Move?
Creating a sequel to their flagship game is a significant risk for Sybo. However, the age of the original game's Unity engine likely necessitated a refresh. The stealth launch is a surprising strategy, especially considering Subway Surfers' global popularity.
Subway Surfers City's iOS soft launch includes the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines. Android users in Denmark and the Philippines can also currently access the game.
Player reception and the game's full release date remain to be seen. We eagerly anticipate its wider availability and hope it meets expectations.
