In a recent interview with Game File, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe discussed the hurdles in bringing Palworld to the Switch. While not dismissing the possibility entirely, he highlighted significant technical challenges. Discussions are ongoing about future platforms, but Pocketpair currently has no announcements to make.

The game's demanding PC specifications present a considerable obstacle for a Switch port. However, Mizobe remains positive about expanding Palworld's reach. He previously acknowledged the technical difficulties, stating that the PC version's requirements exceed the Switch's capabilities.

Mizobe hasn't specified whether Palworld might appear on PlayStation, other Nintendo platforms, or mobile. Earlier this year, he confirmed to Bloomberg that Pocketpair is exploring additional platforms. He also mentioned openness to partnerships or acquisitions, but denied any buyout discussions with Microsoft.

Beyond platform considerations, Mizobe shared his vision for enhanced multiplayer. The upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, paves the way for richer multiplayer experiences. He expressed a desire for a true PvP mode, drawing inspiration from the popular survival games Ark and Rust, known for their challenging environments, resource management, and extensive player interaction, including alliances and tribes.

Pocketpair's Palworld, a creature-collecting survival shooter, has made a significant impact. Players capture Pals, build bases, and fight for survival.

The game enjoyed a remarkable launch, selling 15 million copies on PC within its first month and attracting 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass. A major update, the free Sakurajima update, is scheduled for Thursday, introducing a new island and the highly anticipated PvP arena.
