Marvel's Thing & Human Torch: February Release Confirmed

Authore: JacobUpdate:Mar 12,2025

Get ready, Marvel Rivals fans! The Fantastic Four team is about to get even more fantastic. The Thing and Human Torch join the playable roster on February 21, 2025, completing the iconic quartet. This exciting addition coincides with the Season 1.5 update, promising major balance adjustments—details to be revealed soon via a Dev Talk blog post on the official website.

While specifics on their abilities remain under wraps, we anticipate Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm will bring unique gameplay mechanics, similar to the previously released Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Mister Fantastic's stretchy powers and Sue Storm's invisibility have already shaken up the meta; expect the same level of innovation from these new additions.

The Season 1.5 update also includes a Ranked mode reset. On February 21st, expect a four-division rank drop. Future seasonal updates will feature a six-division drop, while mid-season updates will maintain the four-division drop. NetEase plans to adjust this system as needed based on player feedback.

But it's not all bad news! Gold-ranked players can look forward to new costume rewards, and new Crests of Honor will recognize top performers (Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All – the top 500 players).
