Curious about the origins of the Avengers? Ever wondered what Odin was doing before he became Thor's father (and Loki's adoptive dad)? And who exactly is Agamotto, the original wielder of the famous Eye? Marvel Snap's latest season, Prehistoric Avengers, is here to answer all these questions and more, True Believer!
While these prehistoric versions of the Avengers have made appearances before, they're now available in card form, bringing their unique and intricate powers to the game. From the very first Black Panther to the original Phoenix host, Firehair, Agamotto himself, and even Khonshu, these characters are set to shake up your deck.
Speaking of Agamotto, he introduces a brand new card type: Skills. These cards represent actions and abilities rather than characters. When played, Skills are Banished—meaning they're gone for good—and although they have no Power, they cost less Energy to play, making them a strategic addition to your gameplay.
But that's not all! The season also introduces two new locations to explore. The Star Brand crater boosts your energy if you have the highest power there, while the Celestial Burial Ground lets you discard a card and replace it with another of the same cost, adding a fresh layer of strategy to your matches.
In addition to these exciting features, you can look forward to new Spotlight Caches, which showcase both classic and new top-level cards. Variant card art and much more are also debuting this season, and the return of the High Voltage mode will electrify the pace of your Marvel Snap matches.
