Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

The White Wolf returns for his final journey as production for The Witcher Season 5 is in full swing. Exciting new photos featuring Liam Hemsworth as the iconic Geralt de Rivia have surfaced online, giving fans a fresh glimpse of the beloved character. These seemingly leaked set photos, available on the dedicated Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth in full costume, complete with Geralt's signature long blonde hair. Alongside Hemsworth, familiar faces like Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier also make an appearance, continuing their roles from when Henry Cavill, the former Superman actor, led the series. Hemsworth's casting as Geralt was announced back in October 2022, taking over from Cavill starting with Season 4 and concluding with the fifth and final season.

The set images also reveal new characters set to debut in Season 4 and continue into the final season, including the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, who will portray Emiel Regis. These leaked photos have sparked speculation among fans that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's Tower of the Swallow, where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him to druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the storyline could take many turns before reaching its conclusion.

Henry Cavill isn't the only departure from the series; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's father figure and mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement or confirm a release date for Season 4, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
