The infamous Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe series returns for its explosive conclusion. After alternate realities saw Wade Wilson slaughter heroes in 2011 and 2017, writer Cullen Bunn and artist Dalibor Talajić reunite for Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time - this time escalating the carnage across the entire Marvel multiverse.
A Multiversal Bloodbath Begins
IGN spoke exclusively with Bunn about completing his Deadpool slasher trilogy. Preview pages reveal Wade battling twisted versions of Marvel icons, from monstrous Cap-Wolves to apocalyptic Worldbreaker Hulks.

"I never imagined this becoming a trilogy," Bunn admits. His initial pitch for "Deadpool Kills the Marvel Multiverse" finally comes to fruition: "Now is the perfect time for this story."
The creative team amps up the spectacle by pitting Deadpool against obscure multiversal variants. "We've created the most epic Deadpool story ever," Bunn teases. While tight-lipped about specifics, he confirms dozens of forgotten characters will return after decades.
Artist Talajić evolves his visual approach from previous installments: "Dalibor's interpretations of these alternate worlds showcase his mastery," Bunn praises. The preview art demonstrates shocking redesigns of familiar heroes.
Unlike previous standalone stories - one featuring nihilistic Wade and another with mind-controlled Deadpool - this finale introduces surprising continuity threads. "Observant readers will spot connections," Bunn hints, while assuring new readers can jump right in.
Most intriguingly, Bunn suggests this Deadpool might be the most sympathetic killer yet: "What if we actually rooted for him to succeed?" The writer promises psychological depth beneath the bloodshed, concluding: "Wait until readers understand his headspace."
