Die berüchtigte Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe-Reihe kehrt für ihr explosives Finale zurück. Nachdem Wade Wilson in alternativen Realitäten bereits 2011 und 2017 Helden abschlachtete, vereinen sich Autor Cullen Bunn und Zeichner Dalibor Talajić erneut für Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time – diesmal eskaliert das Gemetzel im gesamten Marvel-Multiversum.

Ein multiversales Blutbad beginnt

IGN sprach exklusiv mit Bunn über den Abschluss seiner Deadpool-Slasher-Trilogie. Vorschauseiten zeigen Wade im Kampf gegen verdrehte Versionen von Marvel-Ikonen, von monströsen Cap-Wölfen bis zu apokalyptischen Worldbreaker Hulks.

"Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass dies eine Trilogie wird", gibt Bunn zu. Sein ursprünglicher Pitch für "Deadpool Kills the Marvel Multiverse" wird nun Wirklichkeit: "Jetzt ist der perfekte Zeitpunkt für diese Geschichte."

Das kreative Team steigert das Spektakel, indem es Deadpool gegen obskure Multiversums-Varianten antreten lässt. "Wir haben die bisher epischste Deadpool-Geschichte geschaffen", verrät Bunn. Während er sich über Details ausschweigt, bestätigt er, dass Dutzende vergessene Charaktere nach Jahrzehnten zurückkehren werden.

Im Gegensatz zu früheren Einzelgeschichten – eine mit nihilistischem Wade und eine mit ferngesteuertem Deadpool – führt dieses Finale überraschende Handlungsstränge ein. "Aufmerksame Leser werden Verbindungen erkennen", deutet Bunn an, versichert aber gleichzeitig, dass neue Leser direkt einsteigen können.

Am faszinierendsten ist Bunns Andeutung, dass dieser Deadpool der bislang sympathischste Killer sein könnte: "Was, wenn wir ihn tatsächlich dabei unterstützen wollen, Erfolg zu haben?"
