Remedy Entertainment celebrates Alan Wake 2's near-anniversary with a substantial, free Anniversary Update launching October 22nd. The developer expressed gratitude to the community in a blog post, thanking players for their support.
This update, released alongside The Lake House expansion, significantly enhances accessibility. New features include infinite ammo and one-hit kill options. Players on PS5 will also enjoy improved DualSense functionality, with haptic feedback integrated into healing and throwable items. Additionally, horizontal axis inversion is now available.
The update also incorporates numerous quality-of-life (QoL) improvements based on player feedback. Remedy stated that development hasn't ceased since the initial release, with efforts focused on both expansions and community-requested enhancements. This Anniversary Update is a direct result of that ongoing commitment.
