READY! for Kindergarten is the leading school readiness program, developed by The Children's Reading Foundation. It's designed for children aged 2-5, and also benefits older children needing to catch up on essential skills.

The READY! for Kindergarten app uses interactive games to prepare your child for academic success. Each game focuses on a specific core skill, and repetition is key—young children learn best through practice in a supportive environment.

Tap the "i" icon (bottom right of each game) for details on the skill being taught. The app tracks your child's progress, providing reports that compare their achievement to other U.S. children of the same age, highlighting areas needing extra attention.

For 2-5 year-olds, games cover singing the alphabet song, letter recognition (shape and sound), vocabulary building, counting to 30, and emotional recognition.

The READY! program is built on 26 age-appropriate learning targets—measurable skills a typical 5-year-old should master before kindergarten. These research-based targets were created by early childhood experts, collaborating with families, scientists, and educators over seven years.

READY! for Kindergarten received a Top 100 Award from District Administration Magazine in 2013.
