Reaching the third stage of The Spirit Realm Quests can feel daunting. You’re tasked with finding comet traces in a mountain range in the southwest part of the map. With seven possible locations, you only need to interact with three to complete the challenge. Efficiency is key, so aim for a spot where you can access multiple traces in one trip.

The best approach is to target the mountain just south of Warrior’s Watch. Two traces are on the mountain directly behind the POI, with another on a nearby peak. Since Story Quests offer significant XP, many players tackle them simultaneously, so avoid landing on the mountain at the match’s start. Instead, land at Warrior’s Watch, gather loot, and then head up. The comet traces in Fortnite will still be there.

When climbing the mountain, note that trace locations are subtle. They emit a white glow with a magnifying glass icon, but these only appear when you’re close. Use your map to set a marker on the trace you’re targeting to avoid getting lost or caught in a fight before starting the challenge.
