"Shining Revelry Expansion Coming to Pokemon TCG Pocket This Month"

Authore: BlakeUpdate:Apr 09,2025

My enthusiasm for Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I dive in deep whenever a new set drops, staying engaged while I chase those coveted Emblems for notching up around 40 wins. Once the thrill of the chase subsides, my routine shifts to a more casual rhythm: I log in, crack open my daily packs, indulge in a fun Wonder Pick, and then move on until the next day. This pattern is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

This expansion will bring 110 fresh cards into the TCG Pocket universe, featuring a delightful array of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards we've all grown to adore. The highlight, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon! These are unique, differently colored versions of our beloved creatures. For instance, you'll see a yellow Lucario instead of the usual blue, and a Pachirisu sporting a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers just a glimpse into what's coming. A standout card is the new Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and an impressive attack named Steam Artillery that delivers 150 damage. The catch is it requires five energy cards, but fear not—its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards in one go, ramping up the excitement.

Another exciting addition is the Lucario Ex, which steps up from its supporting role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion to a more frontline combatant. With 150 HP, it might not seem overly impressive, but its Aura Sphere attack packs a punch, dealing 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and hitting an opponent's Benched Pokemon for 30.

The trailer also teases other cards that, while not game-changers, are visually stunning and eagerly anticipated. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on the horizon, and they look absolutely fabulous. Don't miss out on the beautifully illustrated Tatsugiri art rare, a must-have for any digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is readily available on the App Store and Google Play, free to play with optional in-app purchases. If you're intrigued, you can easily download it for your device using the buttons below.
