Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just released an exciting Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year wait, this update is a significant milestone for fans, available exclusively for mobile users.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update introduces new languages and focuses on enhancing stability and fixing bugs. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to ensure a smoother experience.

The update brings a host of improvements, including the activation of Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for Android users on compatible devices, an updated app icon, and the addition of haptic feedback across both platforms.

Several missions have been corrected, such as 'That Bitch' where players previously couldn't pick Mandy’s locker, and 'Weed Killer' which wouldn't progress if you broke the window prematurely. Additionally, the issue with police cars falling through the floor in 'The Rumble' has been resolved. The update also addresses enemies who wouldn't engage with Jimmy, resulting in unbalanced fights, and fixes crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

While fans have been clamoring for Bully 2 for years, Rockstar appears to have different priorities. Rumors suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was eventually shelved to focus on Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially given the departure of many original developers from Rockstar.

Though not a full remaster or sequel, this update is a welcome enhancement for mobile players. If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game, where you step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious 15-year-old navigating life at Bullworth Academy, complete with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics.

You can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, which also offers full gamepad support.
