Supergiant Games has unleashed its first major update, delivering a substantial content drop for Hades 2. The developers have committed to closely monitoring player feedback to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. The Olympic Update introduces a wealth of new features, including a breathtaking new region, a powerful new weapon, additional allies, fresh animal companions, and much more.

Key additions in this expansive update include:

Currently in early access, Hades 2 is building upon the success of its predecessor. The full game and console releases are slated for next year. Significant improvements have been made to Melinoe's abilities, including a faster and more responsive dash, enhancing her combat capabilities. The update also reworks several Nocturnal Arms and Abilities, such as the Witch's Staff, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, and Moonstone Axe Specials, allowing for greater customization. However, these enhancements are matched by increased enemy difficulty.

The introduction of Mount Olympus brings a host of new enemies, including formidable Wardens and a powerful Guardian. Existing enemies in the Surface region have also received adjustments:

⚫︎ Chronos: Reduced downtime between phases; minor adjustments implemented. ⚫︎ Eris: Various adjustments; no longer prone to standing in flames. ⚫︎ Infernal Beast: Resurfaces sooner after the first phase; minor adjustments implemented. ⚫︎ Polyphemus: No longer summons Elite foes; other minor adjustments implemented. ⚫︎ Charybdis: Reduced number of phases; increased flail intensity and reduced downtime. ⚫︎ Headmistress Hecate: Loses invulnerability sooner after her Sisters of the Dead are defeated. ⚫︎ Ranged Enemies: Fewer ranged attackers will fire simultaneously. ⚫︎ Various other minor enemy and combat adjustments.
