Nintendo Sets Switch 1 Direct Before Switch 2 Event

Nintendo has announced an exciting Nintendo Direct dedicated to the Nintendo Switch, set to stream at 7 a.m. PT on March 27. This presentation will run for approximately 30 minutes and focus on upcoming games for the beloved console. Nintendo has explicitly stated that there will be no updates regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 during this event; those details will be covered in a separate Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2 at 6 a.m. PT.

What can fans anticipate from this Nintendo Direct? Despite the imminent arrival of the Switch 2, the original Nintendo Switch continues to be a powerhouse with over 150.86 million units sold, a massive audience that developers and publishers can't afford to overlook. This Direct is expected to showcase a range of upcoming titles, including eagerly awaited games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, both slated for a 2025 release on the Switch. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is another title expected to launch on the Switch later this year.
