Square Enix Announced NieR 15th Anniversary Special Novel
Square Enix marked NieR's 15th Anniversary with a flurry of exciting announcements, showcasing upcoming events and projects. During the NieR 15th Anniversary livestream on April 19, Square Enix unveiled the NieR online Special Novel, titled [U]ndecided Option.
The online novel will feature three updates, with the first one already accessible. The next two updates are scheduled for April 25 and May 2, respectively. The novel's intriguing synopsis teases, "Such a 'servant' meets a mysterious boy with a mysterious air and is guided."
To keep fans engaged, Square Enix has also launched a dedicated 15th Anniversary website, serving as the hub for the online special novel and other forthcoming projects and events related to the anniversary celebration.
Exhibition, Concerts, Merchandise, and More
Square Enix is set to host an exhibition event at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Japan, showcasing stunning new artwork featuring protagonists from Replicant, Automata, and Re[in]carnation. Stay tuned for more details on tickets and other information, which will be announced soon.
Music enthusiasts can look forward to additional performances of the NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024, scheduled for Osaka on July 25 and 26, and Tokyo on August 2 and 3. Tickets are now available through a lottery system, with further details on the concert's official website.

NieR's first mobile game, NieR Re[in]carnation, will launch a developer blog series starting April 28, providing monthly updates throughout the year to shed light on the creative process behind the game.
Originally released in January 2021, Re[in]carnation was unfortunately shut down in April 2024 due to monetization challenges. The sudden introduction of a developer blog for a closed game has sparked speculation among fans about the possibility of a sequel or a remake, though no official announcements have been made yet.
