According to data from the official website, in "quick play" mode, Jeff emerged as the most popular character, outranking Venom and Cloak and Dagger. However, the competitive scene tells a different story. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis dominated the leaderboards, while on consoles, Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis were the top choices among players.

Mantis not only topped the popularity charts but also holds the unfortunate title of the most defeated hero in competitive mode. Her presence is felt strongly on both PC and consoles, surpassing the likes of Hela, Loki, and Magik. Notably, on consoles, Mantis's performance is bolstered by 14 other characters maintaining win rates above 50%.

On the flip side, the least favored characters in "quick play" mode include Storm, Black Widow, and Wolverine, whereas in competitive mode, Nemore finds itself at the bottom of the popularity ladder.

Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals has stirred controversy after receiving over 500 mods in a single month. The Nexus Mods website made headlines when it removed modifications that replaced Captain America's head with images of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, sparking a wave of user reactions.

In a private Reddit conversation, Nexus Mods' owner, TheDarkOne, clarified their decision. He emphasized that to avoid accusations of bias, both the Trump and Biden mods were removed on the same day. "To prevent bias, we eliminated the Biden moderator on the same day as the Trump moderator," he stated.
