Marvel Rivals finally has cheaters

Marvel Rivals: A Popular Shooter Facing Cheating Issues

The newly released Marvel Rivals, dubbed the "Overwatch killer," has seen impressive success on Steam, boasting over 444,000 concurrent players on its launch day. However, this popularity is unfortunately accompanied by a growing problem: cheating.

Players are reporting an increase in the use of cheats, including auto-targeting, wall-hacking, and one-hit kills, giving cheaters significant unfair advantages. The community, however, notes that NetEase Games' anti-cheat measures appear effective in detecting and flagging this activity.

While the game's reception has been largely positive, with many praising its enjoyable gameplay and less demanding monetization compared to competitors (battle passes, for example, don't expire), optimization remains a key concern. Users with mid-range graphics cards, such as the Nvidia GeForce 3050, are experiencing noticeable frame rate drops.

Despite these performance issues, the non-expiring battle pass system is a major positive, relieving players of the pressure to constantly grind. This feature alone may significantly contribute to the game's overall positive player perception.
